Electrical engineers are needed in all kinds of industries and firms - large and small. They find jobs in power plants - atomic, hydroelectric or thermal. They can seek careers in public and private sectors such as railways, civil aviation and almost all types of manufacturing plants.
Apart from that they can find employment with the government, industry as well as companies involved in consumer electronics, electronic components, computer hardware, radar, medical equipment, power, energy, automation and control systems, private utility companies and companies manufacturing electrical appliances and instruments.

Environmental science graduates can pursue a career with many different organisations, agencies, industries, and consulting firms. Graduates qualify for positions in land-use planning and management, hazardous and solid waste management, crop production, water quality management, source and water pollution control, air pollution control, or environmental and crop consulting. Additionally, graduates go on to graduate programmes in environmental science and natural resources or professional programs such as law or medicine.
Apart from governmental organizations, there are also a number of private organisations, NGOs, agencies, industries, and consulting firms that offer such careers. Graduates who major in this subject qualify for positions in land-use planning and management, hazardous and solid waste management, crop production, water quality management, source and water pollution control, air pollution control, or environmental and crop consulting. Additionally, they can also pursue their M.Phil and Ph. D programmes in environmental science and natural resources or take up professional programs such as law or medicine.
Universities and the Ministry of Environment, under the Central Government, and institutes such as the Bombay Natural History Society, the Haffkeine Institute, the Cancer Research Institute, the National Institute of Oceanography, the National Institute of Virology, Botanical Surveys of India and so on also offer opportunities to environmentalists, particularly in the area of research and study programmes focusing on industrial pollution, waste management and alternatives to chemical technology.
