"What do you consider as the most important things in making a company successful and what is the role of an employee in the success of the company?" How does one answer this question in a n interview?

Reema Sharma

Via e-mail

"There are several important things that help in creating the most successful company.

You need good people; they must be hard working and dedicated.

For a company to grow in order to be successful you must give them room - and authority to grow by giving them ownership of the day-to-day issues.

This notion works on the idea that one is responsible for his or her actions.

When I mean the "authority to grow" I mean that that the manager has not only to give subordinates a task to do, but also give them the authority to get the job done.

As a result, they enjoy the challenge if given the opportunity to excel. It also allows employees room to experiment.

The manager should not be critical if they mess up, but show appreciation for their efforts. If employees are given what they want, they will work for the company's progress. .

Quoting an example " I believe successful salespeople put forth that extra effort that turns potential clients into first-time customers.

Salespeople who attend to the details by doing whatever it takes to win over a prospective customer distinguish themselves from the countless others who don't take any extra effort. Second, I think that if you label success as an attainable goal, you will never consistently remain successful.

You can only succeed if you learn all there is to learn about your product, your competitors, and personal selling.

Since this learning process is continuous, it's an unattainable goal.

With good reason, salespeople should not consider success an attainable ending point but an objective that will always linger slightly beyond their reach"

I am a short-tempered person and the slightest discomfort makes me lose my cool. How do I overcome my anger?

Pradeep

Bangalore

The best way to control your temper is to practice anger management. Think positive every time you feel your hackles rise, adopt a few relaxation and breathing techniques to control your temper.

Direct your energies into something else whenever you feel you are about to give into your anger.

Anger is a natural reaction that often needs to be expressed.

The essence is to communicate well, to express concerns and feelings at a level where they can be considered calmly, and to address problems so they lead to solutions or compromises in an atmosphere of good will.

And rather than just reacting blindly to situations, listen calmly to what the other person is saying and state your opinion in an unfazed and respectful manner.
