The candidates seeking admission must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination after twelve years of schooling or any other equivalent examination with science subjects. Knowledge of Sanskrit is essential for the admission in Gujarati medium regular course. This is a five and a half years course. The admission to the eight affiliated colleges is handled by the government of Gujarat through a central admission committee on the basis of merit at the qualifying examination.
