Music festival
THE ANNUAL `Chembai Sangeetholsavam' will be conducted at Guruvayur between December 1 and 15 this year. The last 10 days of the festival (from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.) will feature concerts by musicians. Of these, the concerts on the last five days will be relayed on AIR and DD.
Artistes (A and B high grade) of AIR and DD who wish to participate may apply to the Administrator, Guruvayur Devaswom, Guruvayur, Thrissur, Kerala - 680101. Participants will be provided free boarding and lodging. The last date of receipt of entries is October 21. Only Hindus need apply. The festival, celebrated in the memory of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, an ardent devotee of Lord Sree Guruvayurappan, normally coincides with Ekadasi, which falls on December 15 this year.
