New Delhi (PTI): Indian Olympic Association President Suresh Kalmadi on Tuesday denounced former Indian Hockey Federation chief KPS Gill's move to convene an executive committee meeting of the disbanded body, calling it illegal.

Reacting to the news that Gill has convened a meeting on Friday, Kalmadi said the move defied logic.

"I don't understand how he calls the meeting. Indian Hockey Federation has been dissolved and KPS Gill is no more the IHF President. The body doesn't exist anymore and it's definitely not legal (to call executive body meeting)," Kalmadi told PTI.

"There is no recognition from the Indian Olympic Association, the International Hockey Federation and the government as well," he added.
