I am doing my BE (Civil Engineering). I find that most employment
advertisements for IT professionals specifically require
graduates and postgraduates in engineering. If so, will it help
me secure employment as a software professional in India and
abroad if I supplement my course with a few courses in computers?
S. Veeresh

You can definitely enhance your qualification by pursuing curses
in computers and secure employment in the field of IT. Though
this may require you to put in more effort to acquaint yourself
with and perfect the necessary skill-sets, which a graduate
course (BE, Computers) in the same would have otherwise helped
you achieve. You may however find better employment in
construction and architectural firms than specifically in IT
oriented firms.

accountants are immense. A qualified cost accountant can be
employed in the fields of accounts, finance, taxation, audit and

relative to the organisations you will be working in. A fresher
can expect a minimum pay scale of around Rs. 4000 a month, while
those with additional qualifications such as an MBA degree, can
expect approximately Rs. 7000 to 12,000 p.m.
