I am an intermediate student and want to join a Nursing School (B.Sc.). Kindly mention the names of the Nursing Colleges or institutes were I could seek admission?

A graduate degree in nursing is offered by most universities and colleges. The Regional College of Nursing in Assam; Rajendra Medical College Hospital in Ranchi and Bihar; Sri Ramanchandra Bhanj Medical College, Hospital, Ispat General Hospital, College of Nursing and the Maharaja K.C. Gajapati Medical College Hospital, in Orissa are some of the colleges that offer a Degree in Nursing. The Army also runs a college of Nursing in Pune for civilians. Students are selected through an entrance examination. Those with physics, chemistry and biology at the intermediate level are eligible to apply.

I am an intermediate (10+2) student. I would like to go in for Genetic Engineering. Kindly list the universities offering this course and their admission procedure. What are the career prospects in this field?

There is an increase in the demand for genetic engineers in India as well as in the west. Genetic engineers are mainly absorbed in medical and pharmaceutical industries, agricultural sector, and the research and development, departments of government and private sectors. Though a very lucrative career option the world over, it is still in its nascent stage in India. I am an intermediate (10+2) student with physics, chemistry and biology as optional subjects. I am interested in appearing for the medical entrance exam of CMC Vellore. How do I go about it?

The Christian Medical College, Vellore offers a four and half year MBBS course followed by one year Compulsory Rotating Residential Internship. Students qualifying in the written test will be called for an interview. Intermediate students with a specialisation in physics, chemistry and biology (from India and abroad) have to possess a certificate from the Dr. M.G.R, Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu to be eligible for the interview.
