You need to be a graduate or possess an equivalent qualification
in any discipline to gain admission into a management programme.
Most university programmes clearly specify a 50% minimum
aggregate at the graduate level. Applicants selected on the basis
of their performance in the written examination have to qualify
in the group discussion and interview sessions to be eligible for
a regular management programme. The qualifying examination is
usually conducted either at an all India or state level. An MBA
programme is offered at most universities and institutions in the
country, some of the premier ones being the IIMs, the IITs, XLRI,
JBIMS and Symbiosis. You could write to the respective
institutions to get detailed information regarding the
application forms, the fee structure and the date and time of the
examination.
