An interview with Mr. Vijay Babu, Vice President of Integrated SofTech Solutions Private Limited, Chennai.

When was the company formally launched and what are your goals?

We started operations in May 2001 and had our formal launch on 27th September 2001. We are looking to establish ourselves as a niche company in the long run . We have acquired a facility of 15,000 sq. ft in Tidel Park and currently a 15-member team is in place. We want to work as a competent and creative research and development partner to high technology companies in networking, telecom and e-business; and also work with leading experts in the industrial field.

Our aim is to create and nurture a high caliber team that provides consistent and superior quality of work and the most effective solutions and services to our customers. We strive to be rated as one of the most respected companies by our customers, employees, shareholders and partners.

One thing people have to understand is that the current market situation is just a phase in the business cycle and not a permanent situation.

As a new player in this field how are you different from companies that are already in operation?

We are focused on networking, telecom and e-business domains and we support clients on their complete development lifecycle. We also understand the client's real priorities and needs. We are working towards being accepted as long-term partners of our clients.Our aim is quality - not quantity and we will be providing the right ambience to nurture creativity and avert monotony.

What are your strengths that should attract professionals to join your company?

Our major strengths are the people behind the venture who have made a name for themselves in the field.

Can you mention some of the projects you are working on?

Currently, we are working with 3 Clients in the areas of networking: Intelligent Core Optical Network Equipment,NMS, Embedded and E-Business: E-Mail Client Software. We are looking at complete end-to-end development.

We will be working with the telecom sector in telecom provisioning software, shortly.

What are your immediate and long-term plans?

Our immediate goal is to increase the strength of our staff to hundred. As for clients, at the moment we are focusing on creating long-term relationship with our present customers. We are also looking at increasing our client base over a period of time.
