Sandip

Industrial engineers can work with manufacturing companies and
service providers such as banks, transport and insurance
companies. Most graduates work for management consultants, while
some may become entrepreneurs. Due to the demand for industrial
engineers, these professionals earn highly lucrative salaries and
the prospects for promotion are also excellent due to the
management background. Industrial engineers can either opt for
management or a technical post. Research and development
organisations in the government as well as private sectors and
consultancies also employ industrial engineers. They can work in
production, planning and control.
What is industrial biotechnology and what are the job
opportunities available?
Sathya

Industrial biotechnology is the application of scientific and
engineering principles to the processing of materials by micro
organisms (such as bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa and viruses)
or plant and animal cells to create useful products or processes.
There are ample opportunities in the food processing, chemical
the brewing and textile industry. Some industries employ
biotechnologists in their marketing divisions to develop business
in sectors where their products would be required. They also help
to identify biotechnological development opportunities in India
and abroad.
