National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai, offers Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM).

Institute of Fire Engineering and Safety Management, Andhra Pradesh, offers six months Diploma In Industrial Safety. The eligibility criterion is a pass in class X. For details, visit http://nifsindia.net

You can also opt for the course offered by Annamalai University, Directorate of Distance Education. It offers diploma in Industrial Safety in distance mode.

The eligibility criterion is B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main or ancillary subjects or any Diplomain Engineering or Technology.

University of Delhi ( www.du.ac.in) offers Ph.D in Computer Science. The eligibility criteria are

NET in Computer Science or GATE (Computer Science) score with minimum 75 per cent

Master’s degree in any subject (Science/ Engineering/ Humanities) with minimum 70 per cent marks

Master’s degree in any subject with minimum 50 per cent marks.

The admission in these cases will be recommended by a Sub-Committee, based on a seminar given by the candidate in the area of research.

International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, offers Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering. The eligibility criterion is BE/ B.Tech in Engineering (any branch including CS/ ECE/ EE/ Civil/ Instrumentation/ Biotechnology) or B.Arch. or Master’s degree in Science/ Mathematics/ Programming/ Computer Science / MCA/ ME/ M.Tech in Engineering or Masters degree in Mathematics/ Science. Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, offers M.Ed in Special Education. This is a full-time one-year course. The specialisations offered are visually handicapped, learning disabilities, orthopaedic and neuromuscular disorders. The eligibility criterion is bachelor’s degree in special education with 50 per cent marks / B.Ed degree with one year course in special education and at least 50 per cent marks in both / diploma for secondary school teachers of visually handicapped or any other disability for which graduation from any institution recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India with at least 50 per cent marks. Rehabilitation Council of India offers M.Ed in Special Education with visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning disability, locomotor and neurological disorder and mental retardation as specialisations.
