A painting exhibition inaugurated recently at the art gallery in Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Public Gardens, proves the fact that children always tend to spring a surprise when exhibiting their talent.

Titled "Series of the Ramayana", the paintings are a visual treat.
Nearly 50 children took part in the exhibition. According to Kishan, the art instructor at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, it was also an attempt to remind people of the Ramayana. The paintings are a visual depiction of the epic - right from the birth of Rama to his marriage with Sita, to Ravana abducting Sita and Rama regaining his wife and kingdom.

The exhibition was inaugurated by R.K. Suman, Joint Secretary to Government Education Department.
