I am the mother of a 14-year-old autistic child. From my experience, I can say that only if the family is sensitive enough to the needs of these special children, they can extend it to society. Parents should not feel embarrassed to take their children out. I have come across many wonderful people who love and care for my son. Man is a social animal and the parents of the disabled especially need support from people. Compared to the scenario a decade ago, the awareness has increased. The best help that society can render to the disabled is provide facilities and infrastructure in such a way that they meet their needs independently. All our public buildings can have ramps to enable them move on their own. Every good human being understands that these special people are like this for no fault of theirs.
