Hello! Fly lands in India

UK's Fly mobile sets are now available here

ON A ROLL Malaika Arora at the launch event of Fly mobile phones in New Delhi

Regarded by many as one of the trendiest girls in the film industry today, Malaika Arora Khan surely stands for almost everything a woman aspires and desires. She is an attractive model, a stylish VJ, a modish actress and now a brand ambassador of a mobile phone company. Malaika has endorsed the brand `Fly'.

Fly is the flagship brand of the UK-based Meridian Group which made its India opening this past week with an event in New Delhi. Malaika, present on this occasion, unveiled three models of the phone, which included an exclusive version that can be used as a stereo too.

Speaking on the occasion, she said, "It is great to be associated to a product, which is elegant and chic."

The USP of Fly mobile phone, she added, "is that the handsets are user friendly and looks glamorous."

The mobile phones today are more than just communication accessories, rather they are used for faxes, e-mails and games, she pointed out.

Many features

Talking about the functions of Fly mobiles, the company's Chief Executive Officer Operations, Rajiv Khanna said these mobiles are best suited to the `critical customer', the customer who is on the look out for all possible features in his mobile handset.

He added, "With a target of selling more than 250 thousand units this year, Fly mobile would cause a paradigm shift in the way mobiles are used."

Besides the three models showcased at the launch, the company has decided to come up with about 12 models by the end of this year.

Khanna also stated that keeping in view the tough competition in the mobile phone market, Fly mobiles are priced in such a way that "they provide the customer with more and more features at an affordable price."
