Painting exhibition

`Water' an exhibition of paintings and photographs in association with Apparao Galleries will be held at the Taj Malabar on July 4. It will feature the works of artists like M. F. Hussain, S.H. Raza, Ramkumar, Shakti Burman, Manu Parekh, Manish Nai, Mahmud Hussain, Alexis Kersey, George K, Avishek Sen, Kumaresan, Maya Burman, Sohan Qadri and Dipti Pande. The exhibition is open after 9 a.m.

Of all the five natural elements, it is water, which is most essential for survival of mankind. As the monsoon rages along the coasts of Kerala - the exhibition on `Water' as the theme is purported to rendition a symphony to the fluidity of human emotions.

Contemporary western artists like David Hockney have played with the different kinds of effects created on water. Indian artists like Manu Parekh are synonymous with their paintings of the Benares waterfront.
