Yoga turns trendy

Urban Yoga gives a haute shade to the mind, body and soul mantra

Yoga is no longer just about peace of mind and staying fit. It has also become a fashion statement of a sort. All along, people rarely bothered about what they wore while practising yoga or where they practised it. Now with yoga going global, people are not only getting conscious about what yoga they practise, but also where and how they do it. One loose pyjama and T- shirt or a salwar kameez (for women) is all one could opt for. It's not so any longer. And stores like Urban Yoga are working towards revolutionising the entire concept.

The store houses clothes, accessories, books and CDs for those who are passionate about yoga. Their clothes section is divided into two categories - body and soul. The former has been designed for the various stretching exercises and, are hence, made out of stretchable material. And soul, which includes clothes that are made out of pure cotton, is for those who are more into meditation and other similar exercises. Their collection includes kurtas, T-shirts, pyjamas, tracks and shorts for both men and women. The apparels come in earth and pastel colours and most of them have some yogic motif on them, which adds mood. And if you are one of those who like to go for a drive, juice or snacks after a yoga class needn't worry about changing your clothes, as dresses are very trendy as well. Urban Yoga also acts a research centre for those doing research or those who want to read up more on yoga.
