You can pick upbags in attractive shades such as lime green, lemon yellow and sky blue at the leather fair on at the Colas Hall opposite the Mission Street Church. There are also bags in regular colours such as brown, tan, burgundy and black. These bags are made by women belonging to a small women entrepreneur's unit, "Oxxenn". The fair has all kinds of bags including briefcases, luggage bags, backpacks (that can carry 20 to 25 kg), rugsacks and handbags on display.

"We also have college bags, ladies' briefcases, ladies' clutch bags, fancy evening bags and conference folders and shoes (from Bangalore). We have recently introduced beanbags, bean modas and leather cushion covers. We also manufacture bags that are made of jute and leather," says Leela S Leo of Oxxenn.

More than 1,500 bags are manufactured every month at the unit that employs 20 women. Some of these bags are also exported to South Africa, Greece and the U.S. They also take orders for customised bags.
