Ready for an Onam feast?

Enjoy the festival spread at restaurants in the city


An Onam Sadhya will be held at Copper Point, GRT Grand, T. Nagar, on September 4 and 5. It will feature specialities of Kerala such as kaalan, olan, avial, erussery, injipuli, paladapradhaman, chakkapradhaman and much more, including non-vegetarian dishes. You can also sway to the rhythms of kaikottikali, kathakali, mohiniattam, oppana or enjoy ottanthullal.

The two-day festival is offering a lunch and dinner buffet (Rs. 500 for adults and Rs. 400 for children, excluding taxes). For details call 28150500.

Hotel Aadithya will have a Grand Sadhya (Rs. 150) on September 5 at Nizam Hall, from 12 noon to 3.30 p.m. For details call 24880488.

Hotel Shelter is organising a food festival "Onam Asamshagal" on September 5. The menu for lunch and dinner (Rs. 195) will include masala moor, pachchadis, injipuli, pulissery, pappadam, pazham pori, sakkara varati, avial, adapradaman, uniappam, kalan, upperi, paruppu payasam and sugiyan. At Ahaar, The Residency, the ambience will reflect the festive mood. Waiters will sport the traditional Kerala attire. The hotel has lunch (12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m.) and dinner (7.30 p.m. to 11 p.m.) buffet. For details call 28253434.

New outlet

Kairali, the restaurant specialising in Kerala cuisine, has opened its fourth outlet in Anna Nagar (292, Second Main Road, Z Block). On September 5, foodies can enjoy the traditional Onam Sadhya at the restaurant. For details, call 98409 32486.
