Sculptures on canvas

An exhibition of sculptures on canvas opens tomorrow at Durbar Hall Art Gallery

ARTISTIC EXPRESSION Dr. Mrs Jigmini Santhosh with some of her works

A five-day exhibition by Dr. (Mrs) Jigmini Santosh will be open on October 1 at the Durbar Hall Art Centre. A doctor and presently serving as Civilian Medical Officer at the Family Welfare Clinic, Navy, Kochi, she is also known for her painting and sculpture. She has worked practically on all mediums like oil-on-canvas, wood and rocks. Her army officer husband Lt Col Santhosh KM also assists her Most of the exhibits portray the women of Rajasthan in their traditional attire. The sculptures on canvas are probably being exhibited for the first time in the city. Special care has been taken in bringing out human emotions in the sculptures. These `Sculptures on Canvas,' have been mounted on befitting frames. The exhibition will remain open till 7 pm daily.
