Melody in harmony

At the audio release of “Pirivom Santhippom”

Sathyam theatre complex was full of people jostling to catch a glimpse of the stars who were present at the audio release of Gnanam Films Private Limited’s “Pirivom Santhippom”.

Praises were showered on director Karu.Pazhaniyappan and Sneha. The director was commended for his sensible films. Sneha was also complimented. The first CD honours were done by Vijay and Prabhu Deva.

There are six songs in the album and all are melodious. The music is by Vidyasagar. The first song is ‘Kandaen Kandaen’ sung by Karthick and Swetha. The duet is thoroughly enjoyable. ‘Nenjatilae’, another good song is sung by Jairam and Shreya Ghosal. ‘Kandum Kanamal’ is sung by Sadhana Sargam.

‘Soll Soll’ sung by Balram does not suit the voice of the singer, although the visuals may help the song.

The four songs are written by Yugabharathi who’s growth in tinseldom has been remarkable. His meaningful lyrics add pep to the songs. With Kabilan’s words another beautiful number is ‘Meduva Medhuva’ sung by Karthick and Harini. It’s a song you’d like to hear a second time. Jayantha’s lyrics rendered by Vineeth and Sainthavi make ‘Iru Vizhiyoo’, one of the best in the album.

S.R. ASHOK KUMAR
