If you are bored of regular recipes, this one promises to be different.

At least, dishes with a dash of pear are not too common. Ever heard of a pear sandwich or a pear slush?

As a dish

As pear makes an identity beyond the fruit chart to become an all time snack, Kevin Motif, President and CEO, Pear Bureau northwest recently showed how to whip up a few pear delicacies. “We are here to promote USA pears and to show how it can be used in different dishes.

With Indians becoming more health conscious and looking for healthier eating options, USA pears offer an ideal choice,” he said, donning the chef cap at a live demonstration held at Spencer’s, MGF megacity mall and going all-out to promote the brand.

Motif made a refreshing USA pear slush, followed by pistachio chicken pear salad, and pear chicken and cheese sandwich for the enthusiastic audience. USA pears is mostly available 11 months a year.

The Pear Bureau Northwest advertises and develops markets for fresh pears grown in Oregon and Washington in the Unites States.
