Judas Priest

If you could listen to only one metal song for the rest of your life, Painkiller would be a strong contender for it. Heavy metal overlords Judas Priest took the Black Sabbath formula of “fast, loud and in your face,” improved on it, and made it the title track of arguably their finest album. Even amidst other Judas Priest gems such as Night Crawler and Metal Meltdown, this stands out for its brutality — you can almost sense Rob Halford screw his eyes shut as he screams “Pain-k-i-i-i-i-i-ll-e-r.” Metal gold.
