Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas would be performing in the city to raise funds in aid of the Venkatesh Muscular Dystrophy Foundation (VMDF) at the Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Public Gardens, on August 9.
Born to a family of zamindars in Gujarat, Pankaj Udhas had participated in numerous concerts in his 17-year long singing career to collect funds for various social causes.
The Venkatesh Muscular Dystrophy Foundation formed in memory of Venkatesh who succumbed to the fatal disease of muscular dystrophy (MD) is running free care centre with medical and ventilation facilities, provides education with computers, provide wheelchairs, cots and other minimum needs for the patients.
Tickets for the live-in concert of Pankaj Udhas are priced at Rs. 300 per ticket and are on sale at all outlets of Vodafone, Music World, Sangeet Sagar and Hyderabad House outlets.
